1. About Us
These terms and conditions govern the provision of removal, packing, storage and related services by Fair Price Movers (“we”, “us”, “our”), a removal company operating across London, United Kingdom.

2. Quotations & Bookings
- All quotations are provided in good faith based on the information you supply. If the actual move differs materially from the description given, we reserve the right to revise the price.
- A booking is confirmed when you receive written confirmation from us (email or message).
- We reserve the right to decline any booking at our discretion.
3. Payment
- Payment is due on the day of the move unless otherwise agreed in writing.
- We accept cash, bank transfer and card payment.
- All quoted prices include VAT where applicable.
4. Cancellations & Rescheduling
- More than 48 hours before the move: Cancellation is free of charge.
- 24–48 hours before the move: A cancellation fee of 25% of the quoted price applies.
- Less than 24 hours before the move: A cancellation fee of 50% of the quoted price applies.
- Rescheduling is subject to availability and must be requested at least 24 hours in advance. We will always try to accommodate your preferred new date.
5. Your Responsibilities
You agree to:
- Ensure all items to be moved are ready and accessible at the agreed time.
- Disclose any items that require special handling (antiques, fragile items, pianos, etc.) at the time of booking.
- Ensure adequate parking is available at both collection and delivery addresses. Any parking charges or fines incurred due to unavailable parking may be added to your invoice.
- Not include prohibited items — see section 7.
- Be present (or have an authorised representative present) at both addresses during the move.
6. Our Liability
- We carry public liability insurance and goods in transit insurance. Claims for damage must be reported in writing within 48 hours of the move completing.
- Our liability for loss or damage to any single item is limited to its replacement value or repair cost, whichever is lower, up to the limit of our insurance policy.
- We are not liable for damage to items that were already damaged prior to the move, items packed by the customer, or items of exceptional value not declared at booking.
- We are not liable for delays caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control (traffic, weather, road closures, etc.).
7. Prohibited Items
We cannot transport the following items:
- Hazardous, flammable or explosive materials
- Illegal items or controlled substances
- Live animals or plants
- Perishable foods
- Firearms or ammunition
- Items with a value exceeding £5,000 without prior written agreement
8. Delays on the Day
If a move takes significantly longer than quoted due to factors not disclosed at booking (additional items, excessive stairs, access difficulties), we may apply an hourly surcharge at our standard rate. We will notify you before doing so.
9. Storage Services
Where storage is provided, items are stored at your risk. We recommend you arrange appropriate contents insurance for stored items. A minimum storage period of one week applies. Storage fees are payable monthly in advance.
10. Complaints
We aim to resolve all complaints within 5 working days. Please contact us at info@fairpricemovers.co.uk in the first instance.
11. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The current version is always available at fairpricemovers.co.uk/terms.
